Online Remote Monitoring & Diagnostic Centre
ACOEM undertakes long-term condition monitoring for port authorities, mines, wind turbines and other critical equipment and machinery.
Critical and complex machinery that continuously varies its speed, load or rotation direction – for example a crane that operates at a port – requires monitoring with the highest possible level of intelligence to detect and account for these variations. To facilitate this, we hardwire our online systems to the machinery using ONEPROD MVX and send the data off site to our cloud server for storage, detailed analysis and reporting. The data can also be retained by the customer for in-house analysis.
We utilise the wireless ONEPROD Eagle system for online monitoring of more stationary or difficult to access machinery, like those found at water treatment plants. Wireless sensors are best used with fixed pumps, gearboxes, fans and conveyor systems.
We produce a monthly report for our online monitoring customers and conduct handover meetings by phone.
For customers that want to run their own remote monitoring and diagnostic centre, ACOEM can also provide a total solution that includes remote smart acquisition systems, monitoring and diagnosis software, commissioning services, and more.
Keeping our ports moving
ACOEM is responsibile for the long-term online monitoring of container cranes operating at the Flinders Adelaide Container Terminal in South Australia.
The online system is hardwired to accelerometers on each crane to monitor it in real-time, 24/7.
The ONEPROD MVX unit sits in a cabinet next to the gearbox and main drum winches, and is programmed to collect and store data on vibration and temperature when the container is moving in an upward direction, with an 80% load and at a certain speed parameter. Collecting and storing data on “Operating Condition” ensures the accuracy of the analysis and reporting. The right data at the right time.
Machine operating condition data is gathered across 32 channels and sent to the cloud server and analysed for vibration trends under the same strict set of operating conditions to identify anomalies and potential defects before they can impact the machine’s operation. The MVX will also automatically raise an alarm in case of an operational breach with immediate notification by email or SMS.
